• scripts/update_helper.py and all production behavior remained unchanged from the accepted PR fix: harden Windows updater restart handoff #8 merge; appdock.py changed only its current-version line.
• Google Docs Project Hub remains intentionally deferred. GitHub and the Hermes/Obsidian vault are the active records.

Safety boundary

Gate 2 did not run the updater, switch the live channel, or modify live AppDock, Startup, Tailscale, private state, registrations, or retained beta.1 failure evidence. Live AppDock remains v0.2.1 / stable.

Next bounded decision: Gate 3 may separately authorize one controlled live updater validation from the exact published GitHub assets. It is not authorized by this merge or publication.
