Clicking Docs showed the version-picker page for a moment before a meta refresh jumped to the latest release, a flash that is also an accessibility problem (WCAG 2.2.1/3.2.5 discourage timed refreshes). Hugo now generates Cloudflare Pages'
_redirectswith/docs/ -> /docs/<latest>/ 302from the same docs_versions data, so the redirect happens before any page renders. The meta refresh stays as a fallback for localhugo server. The version list stays reachable from the selector on every versioned page.
