The docs now dogfood Nuxt DevTools v4 in development, in place of the @devframes/nuxt/hub dock from #437. DevTools v4 runs on Vite DevTools, which is itself a devframe hub. It hosts the a11y and og devframes, so the page has one dock. With the workspace overrides, DevTools v4 runs on the local devframe packages.

  • A pnpm override replaces the DevTools v3 that Nuxt bundles with @nuxt/devtools@^4.0.0-beta.3. Only docs and the @devframes/nuxt tests install Nuxt.
  • An inline dev-only module installs the two devframes through onDevtoolsReady. The imports are lazy, so docs:build still needs no built workspace packages.
  • pnpm docs now builds all of packages/* and plugins/* first. DevTools v4 links to hub, hub-ui, terminals, inspect and more, and turbo cannot see those links from the docs package.
  • The dev config sets nitro.noExternals: false. DevTools v4 sets noExternals to an array when it is unset. Nitro 2 reads that as "inline everything", and the dev server then fails on playwright-core (from nuxt-og-image). This works around an upstream bug.

It bundles a pnpm override/catalog entry for DevTools v4, a lazy dev-only module that installs the a11y and og devframes, build-script and workaround tweaks needed to make this work with the monorepo and an upstream Nitro bug, plus small cleanups to dependencies and knip config.",
