…honor Settings; harden refinement Frontend - ErrorBoundary: a lazy chunk that can no longer be imported (dev-server restart / re-optimize after a vite.config.js edit, new build under an open tab) now reloads the page once, guarded by a per-tab sessionStorage timestamp so a genuinely missing chunk can't loop. Previously every Suspense boundary painted "Importing a module script failed" at once. - OpenApiPanel: fall back to the same-origin /openapi.json (dev proxy / backend-served build) when the backend base is unreachable, e.g. inside an embedded webview that walls off cross-origin fetches. - App: #tag/… Scalar deep links open Settings → API; no re-dispatch on the hash rewrites Scalar performs on every in-page click. - vite: proxy /docs, /openapi.json, /.well-known and /v1 to the backend. - prefKeys: register ov_stale_chunk_reload as a preserved session key. Backend - llm_providers: LM Studio discovery asks the native /api/v0/models which checkpoint is actually loaded (so we never name a model it would have to evict and reload), but it stays BELOW the stored Settings choice and behind the discovery cache — the probe never runs per request. Embedding checkpoints are skipped; the choice is deterministic again. - llm_backend: reasoning_effort is retried without the field when the endpoint rejects it (400, not only TypeError), remembered per endpoint since a fresh backend instance is built per call; <think>/<thinking> blocks — closed or truncated — are stripped and a reasoning-only reply yields "" so callers keep their input instead of the model's monologue. - refinement: request reasoning_effort=none on the dictation path; prompt forbids translating the speaker's language. - capture: fast-mode dictation falls back to the installed transcribe engine instead of a 409 when no dictation model is present. - mcp_server: transcribe tool posts mode=reference. - gallery / run_sentinel / watermark: demote expected conditions (remote gallery 404, another live instance, AudioSeal 0.2 sample_rate no-op) from WARNING; correct the AudioSeal resampling comment. Tests - test_lmstudio_model_discovery: fixture neutralises the live LM Studio probe (it was returning the developer's real loaded model) + probe test. - New coverage for stored-choice precedence, deterministic discovery, reasoning_effort retry/memo, think-stripping, stale-chunk reload, same-origin spec fallback. Integrated verification: all 157 Electron test files pass (654 tests), both Electron TypeScript projects pass, and frozen-lockfile installation succeeds in an isolated worktree. 99 affected backend tests pass with offline/empty-cache conditions. Summary
Integrate the remaining Electron/runtime fixes with their original PR ancestry intact:
Review findings were fixed on the original branches before integration. Changelog conflicts preserve every original entry and contributor credit. No version bump or release.
Validation
99 affected backend tests pass together with HF_HUB_OFFLINE=1 and an empty HF_HUB_CACHE. Full Electron tests are running locally; full CI, four-platform smoke checks, security checks and final bot review remain mandatory before merge. Main's previous post-merge CI must also pass first.
CosyVoice #2096 remains open for installation dependencies and output-quality investigation. #2184 still needs confirmation of the reporter's launch path; this fixes the demonstrated source-runtime path only.
Merge with a merge commit, not squash, to preserve the five PR heads and mark the constituent PRs merged.
This PR integrates fixes for Windows proxy setup, runtime preparation, LM Studio discovery, LLM reasoning, AudioSeal, CosyVoice, engine language selection, and stale frontend chunks. It improves setup reliability, provider compatibility, audio correctness, and recovery behavior while updating documentation and localized guidance. Backend coverage reports 99 passing tests; full Electron, CI, smoke, security, and post-merge checks remain pending, with proxy handling, runtime setup, and model discovery requiring human review.
MCP integrations: includes reviewed #2257. Claude Code and Cursor setup uses the current backend URL, preserves per-client voice bindings, and consolidates duplicate catalog routes. Eight combined UI tests, renderer typechecking and two real HTTP transport tests pass (synthesis endpoint mocked). Merge with a merge commit to preserve all six original PR ancestries.
