Summary
Prepare v0.4.0: bump package metadata and collect the changes since v0.3.0. A minor release accounts for the additive public Observe enum (#7), alongside the parser optimization and regression coverage (#8). Restore the missing v0.3.0 changelog section from its published release notes.
Fix the macOS CI toolchain/SDK mismatch: select installed Xcode 26.2/SDK 26.2 through job-local
DEVELOPER_DIRandSDKROOT. Stock Zig 0.15.1 does not recognize the arm64e-only system-library stubs in SDK 26.4+. Retain the existing macOS ARM runner and Zig 0.15.1 instead of dropping architecture coverage or raising the minimum toolchain version. Document this limitation for users.No library source behavior or dependency changes. No tag or release has been published.
Validation and publication gate
All 60 tests pass locally on Zig 0.15.1 and 0.16.0; the existing optimized benchmark command passes on 0.15.1. Workflow YAML and SDK-selection shell syntax validate locally. Both hosted Ubuntu and macOS CI jobs pass at
6f1985e, including tests and the optimized benchmark; the macOS job successfully selects Xcode 26.2.Main requires a reviewed PR. Merge this version bump after CI succeeds before tagging/publishing v0.4.0; do not bypass protection.
