📋 Script Details
Journiv is a self-hosted, privacy-focused journaling app with entries, media, mood/activity tracking, full-text search and Daylio import.
- Stack: despite GitHub reporting "JavaScript", the backend is Python 3.12 (FastAPI + alembic + Celery).
UV_PYTHON="3.12" setup_uv+uv sync --locked --no-editable --no-install-project, PostgreSQL 17, Redis. - No Flutter SDK needed: the prebuilt Flutter web app is committed to the repo under
web/(93 files), so a source tarball install serves the full frontend. - Three systemd units, mirroring the upstream
SERVICE_ROLEsplit inscripts/docker-entrypoint.sh:journiv(gunicorn + UvicornWorker on :8000),journiv-worker(Celery) andjourniv-beat(RedBeat scheduler). - Install runs the same bootstrap as the entrypoint:
alembic upgrade head+seed_initial_data(). - Paths overridden from the container defaults (
/data/...) to/opt/journiv_data/{media,logs,exports,imports/temp}. - Note: the paid "Plus" features ship as a precompiled
.soin the official image only, so they are unavailable in a source build.

The Journiv script is ready for testing:
Create your account through the web UI at http://:8000 on first visit - the first registered user becomes the administrator.
Three services run in this container: journiv (API and web UI), journiv-worker (Celery) and journiv-beat (scheduler). Check all three with 'systemctl status journiv journiv-worker journiv-beat'.
Media, exports, imports and logs live in /opt/journiv_data; entries and metadata are in the local PostgreSQL database 'journiv'. Back up both.
Journiv is in beta (0.x). The paid 'Plus' features ship as a precompiled module in the official Docker image only and are therefore not available in this source-based install.
Note: This is not in the official repo yet—it's just a dev version! After merging into ProxmoxVE, it will need to be recreated.

Used script on PVE 9.2.10 installed with no issues.
