The snapotter script is ready for testing:
    bash -c "$(curl -fsSL https://github.com/community-scripts/ProxmoxVED/raw/main/ct/snapotter.sh)"
    Default credentials:
    Username: admin
    Password: admin

Change the default password after first login!
AI features (background removal, upscaling, OCR, etc.) are installed on-demand via the settings page and require additional disk space and RAM.

Note: This is not in the official repo yet—it's just a dev version! After merging into ProxmoxVE, it will need to be recreated.

AI features are broken, and can not install because python 3.13 is installed. Problem is an incompatibility between realesrgan==0.3.0 / basicsr and Python 3.13.

Best is to use Python 3.11

    Damn 3.11 is really outdated.

Hey, SnapOtter maintainer here - thanks for building this script!

The Python 3.13 issue with AI features is a known upstream limitation. realesrgan==0.3.0 pulls in basicsr, which uses distutils and other APIs that were removed in Python 3.12. There's no compatible release of basicsr for 3.12+ yet.

Our Docker image uses Debian Bookworm which ships Python 3.11, so it works out of the box. For the LXC script, the fix would be to install Python 3.11 and create the venv with it instead of the system Python. On Debian Trixie/Ubuntu 24.04+, you can get it from deadsnakes or build from source.

We've also just added an early version check on our side so that users running outside Docker get a clear error message instead of a cryptic build failure.

I was going to report this, but looks like you guys are way ahead of me on it, lol.
Maybe for now have the script use deadsnakes ppa until things catch up with realesrgan?
I feel like "AI" upscaling is a huge selling feature.
