Create your admin account on first login via the web interface.
Nginx runs on ports 80/443, Nginx UI management interface on port 9000.
SSL certificates can be managed automatically with Let's Encrypt integration.
Note: This is not in the official repo yet—it's just a dev version! After merging into ProxmoxVE, it will need to be recreated.
I have tested the script further and I found two issue.
The application has an internal install procedure that kicks off at random intervals. It basically asks for email (which is important for ACME) and username and password for admin.
Once it kicks off it cannot be canceled. The admin user will be unable to login once it kicks off even if the procedure is completed.
A lot of settings cannot be changed and result in application lock up.
To resolve the issues we could use the project install script (bash -c "$(curl -L https://cloud.nginxui.com/install.sh)" @ install)
Pros:
User will be able to go through the install procedure naturally to setup admin username and password.
No settings changes problem.
Cons:
Running a script from another repo/external resource.
