The romm script is ready for testing: bash -c "$(curl -fsSL https://github.com/community-scripts/ProxmoxVED/raw/main/ct/romm.sh)"
Note: This is not in the official repo yet—it's just a dev version! After merging into ProxmoxVE, it will need to be recreated.
Hi all, I tested the install on an AMD 8845HS and both the default & the advance install fails with the following error:

Hello, If you want to take a look, I've completely reworked the script I was working on a while ago. It installs without needing docker. I've tested it on a few Proxmox machines several times.
I took some time to test this install. The RomM team released an update so I also tested the update script.
Everything seems to be working correctly, such as rom importing, metadata scraping/matching, OIDC auth login setup, and playing games via emulatorJS in the browser. The only thing I haven't tested is net play, but I was able to successfully modify the config.yml (/var/lib/romm/config/config.yml) to enable it. Reloading RomM after modifying this and the .env file (/opt/romm/.env) has not caused any issues.
I'd say this is ready to move to main repository unless anyone else finds an issue. Great work on this script everyone!

I deployed the container last night and everything seemed to install correctly, and I configured an admin user successfully, but there are some broken images for me, most obviously /assets/logos/romm_logo_xbox_one_square.svg and /assets/default/user.svg.
The nginx route in the install script points /assets to /opt/romm/frontend/dist/assets, where build products do exist, but there are other static assets in /opt/romm/frontend/assets/ that don't appear to be mapped to /assets because of the nginx route.
In the container from the official docker image, I discovered that build products and static assets were mixed into the same path, /var/www/html/assets/, so both asset paths in the LXC should be able to be safely merged. The update script already has a command to do this, so I'm submitting a PR that replicates this in the install script as well.

@MickLesk Why did you merge it when it uses git clone? There is a tagged release availible.

Hi @michelroegl-brunner . I did use
git clone, but I didn't pay attention to that. I only copied what I got from the RomM Dockerfile. I'll update it.b3ni commentedon Jan 19, 2026

Just tried installing and it does seem to load correctly. Where is the environment file located?
PatrickS7 commentedon Jan 22, 2026
Works now! Thanks!
PatrickS7 commentedon Jan 22, 2026
I think it is /opt/romm/.env
