Quick update: I talked with @fccview yesterday about cronmaster. From my understanding, he also leans more towards addon rather than standalone - mainly because cronmaster only operates within the LXC its running in (no SSH / multi-LXC control planned right now).
Standalone is still possible by deploying a plain Debian LXC and installing the addon there, but addon-first seems to be the more flexible approach.
Alright, cronmaster is already in standalone mode since version 2 (sorry couldn't remember if i did it already or not).
I'll work on the tarball today and try to draft a minor release just for this as soon as I have tested the build ❤️
The cronmaster script is ready for testing: bash -c "$(curl -fsSL https://github.com/community-scripts/ProxmoxVED/raw/main/tools/addon/cronmaster.sh)"
Note: This is not in the official repo yet—it's just a dev version! After merging into ProxmoxVE, it will need to be recreated.

What was the latest agreement? Addon or standalone?
MickLesk commentedon Nov 21, 2025
Addon? @community-scripts/contributor
i see it more useful as addon then as standalone. If anyone need it as standalone, deploy debian lxc, addon, done

Addon, as someone can still use debian lxc then addon

note:
also, there might be the option that fccview provides a prebuilt again (like jotty draft pr), which could simplify integration on our side.

Can confirm, I'll provide a pre build, will just need a few days to prepare a release♥️

@fccview just ping, when do you prepare an release with an prebuild? :-) i would like to migrate the script from LXC to addon in next days
fccview commentedon Feb 11, 2026
Sorry been out of home for a while, I'm back today so hopefully I can sort it out♥️
Cronmaster is not standalone yet I don't think, so it's a bit of work to make it work

Script is done as addon, working fine for me. I added test-state and we can merge if the logo is in selfhst\icons :-)
selfhst/icons#715
icon is available as "cr-nmaster" (i couldnt find it) https://cdn.jsdelivr.net/gh/selfhst/icons@main/webp/cr-nmaster.webp
