I've been using this focus stacking script (with some modifications) to merge 4 images taken at different Z-planes on my MacBook Air(2017) OS Monterey v.12.3.1 for the last few months. At first, it was working well. However, starting from last week, when I called this function on the exact same data that I've been using for the last few months, exceptions kept getting thrown and if I do try/except to bypass the exceptions, the merged images contain extra markings and abnormal noise.
This happened to many but not all of the images that I merged. Please advise as to how to fix. Thanks!!
