The website pages for Phase 3a, written for 0.3.0:

  • The troubleshooting page.
    • Device identifiers (full names, MAC addresses, UUIDs) must match exactly.
    • The Linux D-Bus policy no longer has its allow own rule.
    • A new "Service discovery timed out on Linux" FAQ.
    • A new "Pairing on Linux" FAQ.
  • The CLI command reference. The -d, --device rows, and a note on exact matching.

Draft until 0.3.0 is released; merge right after the 0.3.0 release commit, as 0.2.1's website update did. The site is published from main on every push, and these pages describe what 0.2.1 doesn't do: exact device matching, pairing without a default BlueZ agent, and waiting for BlueZ's service discovery.

This PR has two commits:

  1. The pages themselves.
  2. A follow-up from review: aranet watch --passive matches names case-sensitively, like aranet read --passive, and a sensor that wants its PIN can be paired by hand in a desktop's Bluetooth settings as well as in bluetoothctl.

The site builds locally with these pages (19 pages, Node 24). No workflow builds the site for a pull request: deploy-site.yml builds it, with Node 22, only after a push to main.

The Phase 3a PR (#7) has merged, so this PR is now based on main and holds only the two website commits. If Phase 3b's website PR merges first, these commits meet its commands.mdx lines untouched.

…at a desktop can pair a PIN sensor

The exact-matching note named aranet read --passive as the one command
that compares names case included. aranet watch --passive does too, so a
name typed in another case there is never found and watch retries it
forever. The Linux pairing FAQ said a sensor that wants its PIN can only
be paired with bluetoothctl, but a desktop's Bluetooth settings can pair
it with its PIN as well; what it needs is pairing by hand. Both pages now
say what the changelog says.
