Summary

  • Stop rendering the raw updater socket error on System.
  • When the host updater is disconnected, explain that console updates need the host daemon, a published release, and the Linux socket or Desktop loopback URL.

Test plan

  • cd frontend && npm run sync
  • Open System without the updater socket: status should say the process cannot replace its own container, with the three conditions listed

The status card showed the raw Unix socket dial error when the host
updater was not mounted. Describe the conditions required to update
from the console instead.
