Mostly stolen from braintrust-x-go. Also adds an additional assertion that the local branch is up to date with the remote before doing the release

Use git tags / shas to generate the SDK version at build time
This will play nice with being able to push a tag in order to kick off a full release
This also improves version auditing because it will link to a precise git commit
