macOS 26 fails to mount the card (FSKit EIO) when the FAT read at the default 4 MHz SD clock is too slow, so boards can set MSC_SD_FREQ_HZ for a verified faster clock in USB mode; enabled for Cardputer (20 MHz), tested on a Cardputer ADV.
