release: adopt base-bash-libs v2.2.2 for Base 1.10.0 #2482

Closed

Description

@codeforester

Goal

Track the downstream Base handoff for the published base-bash-libs v2.2.2 release as part of the Base 1.10.0 release train.

Source release

Aligned consumer release

Scope

  • Update Base's base-bash-libs full-SHA pin to 1333c0e7e4c3004663cda635e04965cb9d76511d wherever the released provider is consumed.
  • Run the affected source-checkout, provider, integration, and release validation gates.
  • Record the exact component ref and passing evidence in the Base 1.10.0 release BOM.
  • Update Base release documentation or changelog only if the pin is user-visible or release-relevant.

Acceptance criteria

  • All Base pins use the intended immutable v2.2.2 commit or an explicitly justified compatible pin is recorded.
  • Base source/provider/integration checks pass on supported release platforms.
  • The Base 1.10.0 BOM records the exact base-bash-libs tag, version, commit, and passing evidence.
  • The Homebrew formula handoff is linked and independently tracked in basefoundry/homebrew-base issue Report basectl update status #88.
  • Project fields and release-train status are read back after the PR merges.

Related

Non-goals

Do not modify the immutable v2.2.2 tag or assets. Do not publish Base 1.10.0 from this issue until the base-cli/base-cli-demo alignment work is complete.

    Homebrew handoff tracking issue: basefoundry/homebrew-base#88

This Base issue remains the umbrella for the Base 1.10.0 downstream pin and BOM handoff. The Homebrew formula work is intentionally tracked in the tap repository so it can follow the tap's own validation and bottle policy.

    Consumer release completed.

    • base-bash-libs-demo v0.1.1: https://github.com/basefoundry/base-bash-libs-demo/releases/tag/v0.1.1
    • Annotated tag peels to 45772fd1da20fea73d38aafd3a5123e8deeb6c3e.
    • Beacon archive SHA-256: 1c3455a47e5b8899ba338d8e96b15ff0b500aa34a1efc809eee6556971e2f09a
    • Remote checksum and structural artifact verification passed.
    • The demo release remains intentionally bound to the committed Base Bash v2.2.0 vendor baseline; the new-consumer docs target the published Base Bash v2.2.1 release.

The remaining work on this issue is the Base-side v2.2.1 full-SHA pin/BOM handoff and the separately tracked Homebrew formula handoff in #88. Base 1.10.0 publication remains deferred until base-cli/base-cli-demo alignment is complete.

Upstream patch release published and verified.

The exact Base pin/BOM handoff remains to be implemented here. Base 1.10.0 publication remains deferred until base-cli/base-cli-demo alignment is complete.

    Base-side handoff is complete.

The Base 1.10.0 pin and Homebrew handoff acceptance criteria are complete.
