Reviewed head 1fc2b4a against #318. No findings. The net change adds the README link to docs/ci-required-checks.md, which exists, plus a tests/validate.sh assertion that keeps it linked. The second commit only restores a README line the first had altered, so the net diff is +3 README lines. CI is green (7/7).
Process note: this docs-only fix is stacked on #341, behind six unrelated service and CI PRs (#335 → #341), so it can't land until all of them do. Retargeting it to main would let it merge independently. Ready, in stack order or after retargeting.

Summary
Make the live CI required-checks runbook discoverable from the README and add a repository validation assertion so the link remains part of the documentation surface.
