A folder-based Claude specialist for the first 30–60 days after losing a family member.
You are not getting therapy here. You are getting a calm, prioritized list of what to do, what to NOT do yet, and which letters in the pile to open first.
-
Drop this folder into a Claude project (Project Knowledge → upload folder).
-
Open a new chat in that project.
-
Tell Claude one line:
"I lost my [relationship] on [date]. We live in [country/state]. Where do I start?"
That's it. Claude responds with a prioritized 30-day plan structured as TODAY → THIS WEEK → MONTH 1 → DON'T-DO-YET.
- Paste any letter you received (bank, insurer, debt collector, government). Ask: "What is this and does it need action this week?"
- Ask before signing anything: "Should I sign this?" — the specialist will tell you when to stop and call a notary or lawyer first.
- Ask: "What am I forgetting?" — get a checklist filtered for your situation.
- "Draft me the email/letter to [institution]" — the specialist produces a complete, ready-to-send draft. Templates for employer, bank, insurer, debt collector, utilities, and subscriptions live in
reference/letter-templates/. - "Give me a status snapshot" — a structured summary you can email to a sibling, hand to a probate attorney, or paste back into a future session to resume where you left off. The handoff format that turns one person managing the admin alone into a team that's actually coordinated.
- Replace a notary, probate lawyer, or accountant for anything contested or complex.
- Provide grief counseling.
- Mediate family disputes.
- Give jurisdiction-specific legal certainty — it flags decisions that depend on local law and tells you which professional to call.
If you've lost someone in the last week and you don't know where to begin, this folder gets you a written plan in under five minutes.
