Summary

  • allow app-name selectors to target applications that do not expose bundle identifiers across configuration, UI, CLI, and IPC surfaces
  • expose bundleless applications in the running-app picker and query apps while preserving existing bundled-app behavior
  • preserve existing app-rule filenames when saving updates and generate collision-safe filenames only for new bundleless rules

Testing

  • user-confirmed that the packaged release candidate edits and saves app rules without crashing
  • mise run check
  • 1,530 tests passed across 144 suites

Fixes #195

Allow app-name selectors to identify applications that do not expose a bundle ID across configuration, UI, CLI, and IPC surfaces. Preserve existing rule filenames when writing updated rules, and generate collision-safe filenames only for new bundleless rules.

Fixes apphane-dev#195
