Major Changes

• d282f5c: New parser, now the default. The old one is removed.

  5–8× faster, 6× less memory vs v0.3 (8–100 MB logs). A 100 MB log: 182 ms and 141 MB, was 1,215 ms and 812 MB.

  How it works now, and what breaks:

  • Async. const log = await parse(text). Takes a string, bytes, Blob, Response, stream or async iterable. Runs in 5 ms slices; signal cancels, onProgress reports. Optional worker option, and toBuffers/fromBuffers to move a log between threads.
  • Views, not classes. Event classes and ApexLogParser are gone, so no instanceof. Use event.type, or event.kind for a group. ofType('SOQL_EXECUTE_BEGIN') finds events and types details (was limitUsage). ApexLog is a type, not an event.
  • Variables. event.variables on any event of a FINEST log: the locals its frame could see, this and its fields, and every static by then, by class, each with its last write. A query answers from the Apex frame that issued it. event.objectAt(address) reads the object at an address as the event stood: its class, value and fields.
  • Caught throws. details.isCaught on EXCEPTION_THROWN: false if a FATAL_ERROR follows, true if another row does, null if the log cannot tell.
  • Frames and leaves. isParent is now isFrame. A leaf has no children. Exit lines (METHOD_EXIT) are not events: they set endTimestamp and duration on their frame.
  • Ids. eventIndex is now id: from 1, valid for one parse. log.event(id), log.events. log.columns gives times and tree links as typed arrays.
  • Times. timestamp → startTimestamp, exitStamp → endTimestamp. A leaf ends where it starts.
  • null means not stated. Not '', 0 or 'default': text, namespace, lineNumber, a limit's limit.
  • FLOW_ELEMENT_ERROR. text is the message only; it ended with the element type and name, now details.elementType and details.elementName.
  • Removed: suffix, category, executionEndTime, parser state on events (isExit, acceptsText and so on). cpuType is now eventType(type).consumesCpuTime. hasValidSymbols is now isApexCall.
  • Renamed: logIssues → issues, governorLimits → limits, LOG_LEVEL → LEVEL. ./next paths are gone: import from the root.
  • Types: LogEventType → EventType, LogLevel → Level, GovernorSnapshot → LimitSnapshot, Truncation → LogTruncation, TruncationRegion → LogTruncationRegion, LimitMetricKey → LimitMetric, LimitObservation → LimitUsage, RunningTotalObservation → RunningUsage. Removed: LIMIT_METRIC, ALL_LIMIT_METRICS, LimitMetricUnit, LimitMetricMeta, DebugLevels, LineNumber.
