Return encoded byte strings from drivers and Image::bytes(), ordered byte strings from ImageSet::bytes(), and paths from stores. Make save() return void, remove Result and render(), and move test support out of src.
Compose shaping operations in call order, bound stream reads before hashing or decoding, and hold store locks through cache rechecks and publication. Enforce encoding byte ceilings, negotiate ICC preservation against source metadata, and fail when ICC conversion cannot be applied.
Preserve overlay transparency when scaling opacity in GD and Imagick, normalize BMP output for analysis, and update the public documentation and consumers.
