Changes

  • Replace 20 editor controls with Threshold, Strength, Release and Listen removed. Omit helper captions beneath the dials; retain tooltips and README guidance.
  • Show input/output peak levels, clipping and explicitly labelled high-band reduction; distinguish audition, bypass, silence, learning and stopped audio.
  • Preserve DSP, all host parameter IDs/defaults and existing sessions. Flag non-default host-only settings without restoring UI clutter.
  • Keep accessible keyboard/exact-entry controls and balanced automation gestures; use bounded atomic metering snapshots.
  • Refresh the README image from the running editor and update links to affinedsp. No design/working Markdown notes included.

Verification

  • CI passes on Windows, macOS and Linux: DSP/meter tests, builds, native UI tests, plugin validation and packaging.
  • macOS Release: VST3, CLAP and Standalone builds; DSP/meter tests (32 cases, 62,334 assertions) and UI/native-wrapper tests pass.
  • Actual VST3 and CLAP editor embedding/reopen tests; interaction, state recall, sidechain exclusion, clipping, stale data and 100–200% scale captures.
  • pluginval 1.0.4 strictness 10: pass. clap-validator 0.4.1: 0 failures; its invalid-random-state warning also occurs on current main.
  • The pinned CLAP wrapper does not implement GUI hide; tested the embedded host-window hide/show fallback. DAW-specific manual testing is not claimed.
