Suppress PR comments

Hi there -- awesome feature and something I am looking forward to using more. We'd like to upload code coverage to GH(AS) but not get any comments on the PR -- can that be a parameter to the Action call? We want the data available and therefore in the code-browsing experience, but don't need PR comments.

Writing the output to the job summary could be good replacement.

Thanks for the feedback, and apologies that we did not respond sooner. We agree that repositories should be able to upload and retain coverage data without necessarily receiving a comment on every pull request.

There is currently no supported way to suppress these comments. The comment is created by GitHub after the coverage report is processed, rather than directly by this action, so adding an action input alone would not be sufficient without corresponding service support.

We are tracking this as a product improvement alongside other work on the timing and content of coverage comments. We have not yet decided whether the control should be an action input, a repository setting, or both, and we do not have a committed delivery date.

We’ll keep this issue open and post updates here when the behavior or configuration options change. Thanks again for describing the distinction between retaining the coverage data and displaying it as a PR comment.
