Part 1 of 4 of the Garage operator stack. Review bottom up: each PR builds on the one below it.

What's in it

  • Gradle build, Quarkus configuration, and the generated Helm chart and container image. The Deployment uses the Recreate strategy (there is no leader election) and a securityContext that meets the restricted Pod Security Standard.
  • CI (test.yml, main.yml) and the release workflow, whose release notes include the CRD upgrade step.
  • The shared core types: CRStatus, CRPhase, ResourceRef, SecretKeyRef, Quantities and the schema customizers.
  • AGENTS.md, the create-commit skill in .agents/skills (symlinked for Claude Code and Junie), and Markdown linting with rumdl (make lint).
