Android: Scrolling a file in edit mode is impossible #891
Thanks for the video, it made this easy to reproduce! Fixed in ZenNotes/zennotesandroid#96, and it ships in the next Android release.
What was wrong: the app kept the cursor in view by scrolling back to it whenever anything on the page changed, so the keyboard could never hide it. But the editor itself redraws lines as you scroll, so every swipe counted as a change and pulled you back to the cursor. That has been there since 1.1.21.
Now the app only brings the cursor back into view when something could actually cover it: the keyboard opening, the formatting toolbar appearing, or the screen getting smaller. While your finger is scrolling the note (and while it keeps gliding after you let go), it never moves you.
Checked on an Android emulator with real swipes: with the keyboard up, the note now scrolls all the way down instead of snapping back, and the same with the keyboard dismissed. Tapping a line near the bottom still lifts it above the keyboard, and typing there keeps it visible.
The iPhone and iPad app had the same code and the same problem with the keyboard up, so it gets the same fix in ZenNotes/zennotesios#44.
On the Zennotes android app, there is a bug when trying to scroll down an open file while the cursor is active.
When you try to scroll down the content, the page scrolls back up to the cursor position, again and again.
