I've noticed that when opening the app on Android, regardless of what is it set in the settings to start with, the home screen, where was left off, and maybe home screen again is shown, which gives a flickering effect on boot.
This seems to be happening on desktop as well, but less visible.
May I suggest that the start screen with the logo is kept longer until everything is loaded accordingly to give a more polished boot experience, at the expense of maybe a couple of 100s ms slower loading in terms of visibility?
I'll might look into it myself in the following days, if I'll manage to familiarise myself with the codebase, but until then I'll leave this here for tracking in case it makes sense to address it.
