Hexas is an application aiming to be a hexagonal map editor.

Changing the Map View

• How to pan?

  You can pan the map by pressing and moving around your middle mouse button.

• How to scale?

  You can scale the map by holding Ctrl key and scrolling your mouse wheel.

Placing the Map Tiles

• How to place a map tile?

  By clicking on any image displayed in the left sidebar, you enter the selecting mode.

  In this mode, you can place the selected tile into the map by clicking again on any of the hex grids, which causes you to leave the selecting mode.

• How to place a map tile multiple times?

  By double-clicking on any image displayed in the left sidebar, you enter the active placing mode.

  In this mode, you can place the selected tile into the map by clicking again on any of the hex grids just like you do in the selecting mode.

  However, placing a tile in active placing mode does not cause you to leave the active placing mode. Instead, you will stay in this mode until you cancel it by selecting any image in the left sidebar.
