Hotfix: Installation failure on machines with outdated os build
This is a hotfix adressing the issue that the new task trigger was not supported on older windows versions causing an installation failure on those machines.
The new task trigger has no more dependency to the eventlog and should work more robust.
The ADMX template remains unchanged.
Bugfixes and minor Improvements
This is a hotfix adressing the following issues:
- Bugfix: Removed ReinstallOnRefresh feature since it is not needed anylonger and resulted in broken installations. This fix will also repair broken installations.
- Bugfix: Adjusted eventlog trigger for the configuration synchronisation.
- Improvement: Configuration sync will now also be triggered if the device is on battery
- Improvement: Testing FluentUI Icons
The ADMX is also updated:
- Removed the ReinstallOnRefresh policy. You do not need to update your existing imports just ignore the policy.
WAU 2.x support/SHA2 certificate
This release has a few changes to support 2.x versions of WAU.
- Implemented new architecture that supports the use of WAU 2.x releases
- Updated to WAU 2.8.0
- Dropped x86 support (version 1.6 however stays available for x86)
- Made shortcut creation more robust and independent from reinstalls
- Switched to SHA2 certificate to support WDAC
The ADMX template remains unchanged.
FluentUI Icons
Replaced the WAU Icons with FluentUI Icons so they better fit the Windows theme.
ADMX templates remain unchanged.
WAU 2.x architecture
- Implemented new architecture that supports the use of WAU 2.x releases
- Updated to WAU 2.8.0
- Dropped x86 support
- Made shortcut creation more robust and independent from reinstalls
- Switched to SHA2 certificate to support WDAC
- In the next days the preview releases will be available in the Microsoft Store just like the main releases.

Minor fixes in relation to the applist
- Fixed an issue where a single entry in the block/allow list messed up the applist
- Removed entries from the built-in app block list

This release took a while to get certified due to smartscreen and mainly includes a new codesigning certificate since the old one expired.
