The site was structured around a static/ subdirectory while deployment and runtime needed the project root to be the canonical web root. This change re-roots the published site and aligns runtime/deploy/docs to that layout.

  • Repository layout migration

    • Moved web entry/assets from static/ to root: index.html, 404.html, css/, js/, CNAME, .nojekyll
    • Removed the now-empty static/ directory
  • Runtime serving alignment (Flask)

    • Updated app.py to serve static assets from repository root (static_folder='.', static_url_path='')
    • Simplified / route to serve root index.html directly
  • Deployment alignment (GitHub Pages)

    • Updated workflow publish target from ./static to . in .github/workflows/deploy.yml
  • Documentation updates

    • Updated README.md project layout and GitHub Pages notes to reflect root-based publishing and file locations
