Thomas Verdier

Charleston, South Carolina | Independent researcher and technical operator

I build practical tools for messy workflows: research synthesis, data QA, operational triage, AI-assisted processes, and small products that need to become testable quickly.

I am open to remote or Charleston-area contract work, especially focused 10–40 hour projects in research, workflow automation, technical documentation, data operations, and prototype delivery.

Start here

These six repositories are the clearest view of my work. I would start with the first three.

Project Problem it addresses What to inspect
Tale & Tally Finite, privacy-first adaptive practice for ages 5–7 Live demo, React/TypeScript PWA, local mastery model, privacy controls, and CI
Security Operations Command Portal Shift visibility, patrol gaps, incident triage, client reporting, and handoffs Flask workflows, role boundaries, SQLite/Postgres path, exports, and 10 integration tests
LocalAid Starter Mobile-friendly community-service intake and staff follow-through React/TypeScript, Express, SQLite, Docker, validation, exports, and explicit deployment limits
Agent Company Turning a vague objective into owned tasks, decisions, risks, and review artifacts Deterministic and Ollama providers, human approval gates, SQLite memory, and 14 tests
Modus21 Mission Delivery Toolkit Intake triage, requirements shaping, data QA, release controls, and stakeholder briefs Seven browser utilities, exports, shared scoring logic, and checked-in tests
Utility Data Hub Demo Integrating work-order and alarm exports into decision-ready operational reports Python ETL, SQLite and SQL schemas, synthetic source data, and checked-in report outputs

Work I can help with

  • Research briefs, literature matrices, evidence tables, and technical summaries
  • CRM, intake, reporting, and follow-up workflow cleanup
  • Small AI or automation prototypes with clear human approval boundaries
  • Data ingestion, validation, prioritization, and decision-ready exports
  • Technical documentation, runbooks, requirements, and handoff packages

Research and writing

  • Accepted manuscript: Support-Mackey Mobility Cohomology
  • Published work in the Journal of Applied Mathematics and Physics
  • Recent submissions spanning physics, genetics, clinical epidemiology, and operational research
  • Background in psychology, research design and data analysis, and decision research

Tools I actually use

Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, React, Flask, FastAPI, Node.js, SQLite, PostgreSQL, Docker, GitHub Actions, Streamlit, and local or API-backed model workflows.

Working style

I like bounded problems, explicit assumptions, traceable source work, and outputs another person can inspect. Several repositories are deliberately labeled as prototypes or pilots. The six above are where I would start rather than treating every experiment as equally finished.
