Realign Cordiale with Grappa v1.5.12 and Cicchetto #240
Grappa v1.5.12 is out (2026-10-03, tag v1.5.12, commit c26c77bc, 91 commits since v1.5.11). This issue tracks bringing Cordiale back in line with it. I read the release notes, the PR list and the docs/CLIENT_PROTOCOL.md diff against our old baseline (189aaf2c).
Good news: most of it is already in
Cordiale already declares protocol 37 and covers most of what changed, because we followed Grappa main while it was unreleased:
Upstream
Protocol
In Cordiale
Network delete takes its scrollback, GET /admin/networks/:id/message_count, scrollback_present gone (#2324)
33
Done
dm_conversation_id added (#2327) and removed again (#2337)
Re-verify the wire contract at Grappa v1.5.12 and refresh the baseline #239: re-verify the contract at the real tag and refresh the stale 189aaf2c baseline, finally try protocol 37 against a released server, fix the known own-nick window count leftover, check self-KICK rejoin behaviour (#2321) and wide-row clipping (#2310).
Nothing to do on our side
Narrow-pane breakpoint 384 → 383px (web CSS), NickServ password capture fix, the shottino DM filing fix, CI and dependency bumps.
Done when
#238 and #239 are closed. If #239 turns up anything else, it gets its own issue linked here.
Update: #239 is closed (PR #241, merged and green on main). Wide rows (upstream 2305) now have their own issue #242, since it was only a note in #239. Narrow-pane breakpoint (upstream 2301) stays not applicable: it is web CSS, nothing in a native window.
No code change is needed: #238 and #239 are closed, #195 is closed, and the wide-rows follow-up (#242) is merged via PR #250. Nothing is left to implement for tracking issue #240.
