A responsive event discovery app for conventions, fantasy fairs, gaming events, cosplay and collectibles.
EventFlow started as a learning project to get more comfortable with modern front-end development. I wanted to build something more substantial than a tutorial project, while focusing on the things I enjoy most: UI design, interaction, responsive layouts and making an interface feel polished.
- React
- TypeScript
- Tailwind CSS
- Motion
- Lucide React
- Vite
- Browse and discover events
- Search events
- Filter by category
- Save favourite events
- Featured event section
- Event detail modal
- Create event interface
- Skeleton loading states
- Responsive layout for desktop and smaller screens
- Reusable React components
- Animated UI interactions
EventFlow was mainly built to improve my understanding of component-based front-end development.
During the project I worked with:
- splitting an interface into reusable React components
- TypeScript types for event data and component props
- managing UI state
- filtering and searching data
- conditional rendering
- responsive interface design
- loading states and user feedback
- animations and micro-interactions
- keeping a larger front-end project organised
Coming from mostly website and WordPress development, this project helped me get more comfortable with building application-style interfaces in React.
