A simple, lightweight, (hopefully) easy to use MacOS program that can download mp3 and mp4 files from websites such as youtube, facebook, reddit etc. You can view the full list of compatible websites here. You can download the latest release here: https://github.com/StrikeX2/VideoDownloader/releases/latest
Just paste the video's URL, and click either download mp3 or download mp4. And that's it!
Go to the releases page and download the latest release (the .dmg file).

Open the .dmg and drag the app to your applications folder Open the app and enjoy!
If apple blocks you from opening the app (e.g couldn't verify free of malware), override this by going to System Settings > Privacy and security, and scroll down to the bottom until you see a little popup with the option to open anyway.
BTW the scary malware warning is only there cause I don't have an apple developer account and I'm not paying $100 to get one, I promise it's not malware.
If you want to support me with my projects, the best way you can do that is by sending me a nice message :D.
My goal is to make the day just a little bit better for at least 5 people I've never met before.
This project would have been impossible for me to do without yt-dlp and ffmpeg. Many thanks to the open source community! I highly recommend that you check them out, because if you want a lot more customisation settings, or be able to convert virtually any file, they're some of the best ways to do it. (Without going to that sketchy mp3 downloading website giving you free robux)
honestly it was kinda just because I got sick of using those sketchy websites when you download the mp3/mp4 of a video, then I found yt-dlp, which was brilliant but I kept forgetting the command I needed to type into terminal, so I made a button that did it for me. That's about it really.
