Everything for 0.1.17: alerts you design, goals and timers, events in the dock, and folders for integrations. The full list is the [0.1.17] section of CHANGELOG.md.

What's in it

  • Alerts you design. Every alert plays a design made of layers in the Overlay Studio. Seven ready-made ones (Island, Signal, Banner, Bubble, Minimal, Paper, Cinema), the viewer's message under the card, and the old alerts look turned into a design called "My alerts".
  • Bigger alerts for bigger amounts, and alerts that run only from an amount up. Two new catalog entries: Hype Twitch alerts and Stream log in the dock.
  • Goals, timers and subathons, with their own overlays, a Goal or timer step, and triggers for a goal being reached and a timer running out.
  • Events in the dock, with filter, Replay and Skip alert, plus a Dock event step.
  • Folders for integrations, dragged and dropped.
  • Chat steps run Twitch commands through the API, a Stream title and category step, and up to 256 steps per integration.
  • The version goes to 0.1.17, and the release workflow refuses a tag that isn't the Cargo.toml version.

Checked before merging

  • scripts/check.mjs: format, clippy, 940 Rust tests and 86 page tests.
  • The ignored soak and network tests: 5 of 5.
  • The release rig, all passing:
    • t_smoke: 7
    • t_web: 57
    • t_proc: 65
    • t_integ: 33
    • t_dest: 29
    • t_delay: 42
    • t_update: 20
  • Linux in Docker on the CI toolchain: format, clippy, 929 tests, and e2e scenarios A to F.
  • CodeQL 2.27.2 run locally with security-extended, on Rust and on web/. Its one real finding, from 0.1.16, is fixed: an overlay file's theme colours and numbers reached the Studio's HTML unescaped.
  • A pre-release review of the whole diff. Its findings are fixed, among them:
    • the ban and timeout safety rule;
    • renewing an expired Twitch login on a 401;
    • alert timing;
    • per-stream goals surviving a restart.

…dashboard that stays smooth

A "Stream title and category" step sets either or both on Twitch, with
the category found from what was typed ("valo" is VALORANT). It gives
later steps {stream.ok}, {stream.category} and {stream.error}. The login
already has channel:manage:broadcast, so nobody has to log in again.

An integration holds 256 steps, up from 64: a chat game with its paths
spelled out fills 64 by itself.

The dashboard no longer crawls beside OBS and a game:
- it counts its own frames and rests its looping animations while the
  browser can't keep 30 a second;
- the hero's light moves in steps, six a second, instead of asking for a
  frame at every screen refresh;
- an integration card's status badge loses a backdrop blur that showed
  nothing and made every card a blurred layer;
- the Integrations tab is redrawn when a poll brings something new, not
  every two seconds regardless.
…s, 0.1.17

Alerts play designs made in the Studio: seven ready-made ones built from
layers, an old look turned into "My alerts" (its entrance, font, place
and size kept), the viewer's message under the card, and saved overlays
re-baked by themselves while nothing is live. Goals and timers (with
subathons) get their own overlays and a Goal or timer step; a per-stream
goal carries on when InstantClone restarts mid-stream.

Twitch alerts show what viewers wrote, can run only from an amount, and
play bigger alerts for bigger ones (If steps on the amount). New catalog
entries: Hype Twitch alerts and Stream log in the dock. The dock gets an
Events widget with filter, Skip and Replay. Integrations go in folders,
dragged and dropped. An older Twitch login is asked to log in again
before a command fails.

From the pre-release review:
- a ban or timeout from a trigger anyone can start may only name {user}
  or a fixed name; one saved before this runs with that trigger off, and
  an anonymous gift or cheer has no account to name;
- a Twitch 401 that isn't a missing permission renews the login and runs
  the call again (chat commands, channel points, title and category);
- a design alert's time on screen starts when it shows, not when it
  starts loading;
- {goal.json.x} from a web call saved as "goal" reads again;
- an overlay file can't break out of the Studio's settings (its theme
  colours and numbers are escaped), and its 404 no longer names the
  overlays folder;
- smaller ones: the middle placement, ?at=top from 0.1.15, the dock's
  events list after a failed fetch, a new folder kept with its default
  name, step and goal limits said up front.

Version 0.1.17. The release workflow refuses a tag that isn't the
Cargo.toml version.
