The nightly self-index workflow failed every run without the secret configured, sending a daily failure notification. Gate the smoke-test step on the key being present and note the skip in the job summary.
Also bump actions/checkout to v5 and astral-sh/setup-uv to v6 to clear the Node 20 deprecation warnings.
