Loseing controller mapping each new play session.

Issue

connecting multiple controllers, the order of the controllers is always messed up thus controllers mapping. And I have to redo the configuration manually for buttons each new play session with my family

I wish controllers, configuration is like all the other emulators where, when you configure a controller, it's savef and always stays configured correctly, even after multiple sessions, even if you connect and disconnect and reconnect multiple controllers, they are always configured correctly after the first configuration is done and saved.

please help because it’s a hassle to manually configure the controller order and button configurations every time I want to play multiplayer.
