Orbitra is a modern, high-performance web application for real-time Earth, satellite, and space intelligence. Built with Three.js, SGP4 Orbital Mechanics Propagation (satellite.js), Vite, and a secure Express Backend API, Orbitra tracks real NORAD Two-Line Element (TLE) satellite data across Low Earth Orbit (LEO), Medium Earth Orbit (MEO), and Geostationary Orbit (GEO).
-
🌐 Interactive 3D Earth Visualization:
- High-detail 3D Earth sphere with 23.44° axial tilt and smooth planet rotation.
- Real public-domain NASA satellite surface maps, topographical relief bump maps, ocean specular maps, dynamic cloud layers, and city night lights GLSL shader.
- Rayleigh scattering atmosphere glow and multi-depth 3,500-star particle field.
-
🛰️ Real SGP4 Satellite Tracking:
- 25+ real NORAD satellite element sets covering ISS (ZARYA), Tiangong, Starlink Constellation, NOAA Weather, GPS Navigation, and Science Observatories (Hubble, JWST).
- Real-time SGP4 propagation computing Latitude, Longitude, Altitude (km), Velocity (km/s), Perigee/Apogee (km), Inclination, and Orbital Period.
- 3D Orbit Trajectory curves (
THREE.LineLoop) rendered around Earth for selected satellites. - Orbital Time Speed Multiplier (
1X/30X/60X) for visible continuous orbital flight motion.
-
☀️ Space Weather & Agency Intelligence:
- Live NOAA SWPC Space Weather telemetry (Geomagnetic Kp Index, Solar Wind Speed km/s, Solar Flare X-ray Flux).
- ISRO (India) and NASA mission datasets (Aditya-L1 Solar Observatory, Chandrayaan-3, Gaganyaan, NavIC constellation).
-
📊 Space Intelligence Analytics Dashboard:
- Interactive constellation breakdown charts, Orbital Regimes distribution (LEO vs MEO vs GEO), and Top Orbital Velocity Leaderboard.
-
🤖 Orbitra AI Space Assistant:
- Data-grounded AI chatbot drawer providing instant answers on live satellite telemetry, space weather conditions, and orbital mechanics.
- Frontend: HTML5, Modern CSS (Glassmorphic HUD Design System), ES Modules, Vite
- 3D Engine: Three.js (WebGL 2.0 PBR, OrbitControls, Custom GLSL Shaders)
