GPIOs will need to be allocated for:

• SPI interface (CC1200)
• UART for logging & debug
• GPIOs for PA control, buttons, status LEDs
• SPI or I2C for LCD

Also, it is important to be aware of any pin conflicts for bootstrapping purposes. Keep this in mind when allocating the pins

Key Bootstrap Pins on ESP32:

GPIO	Function During Boot	Notes
GPIO0	Selects boot mode (Flash vs UART)	Must be LOW for UART bootloader (programming), HIGH for normal boot
GPIO2	Must be LOW or floating	HIGH = may cause boot to fail on some boards
GPIO5	Controls SPI flash mode	Usually HIGH for QIO mode
GPIO12	Selects flash voltage (3.3V vs 1.8V)	HIGH = 1.8V (dangerous if your flash is 3.3V!)
GPIO15	Used on some older modules	LOW = normal boot
