A LaTeX class for typesetting two-sided mathematical research postcards. It provides a full-bleed image front and a structured back with space for a short essay, references, caption, address, and stamp.
Use mrp.cls as the document class. The repository includes two examples:
sample.texis a conventional image-front postcard, set in sans serif.series.texuses an enlarged stamp block on the front and defaults to serif.
pdflatex sample.tex
pdflatex series.texThese write sample.pdf and series.pdf at the postcard's final trim size
without crop marks.
mrp.cls provides two independent switches:
serifuses Computer Modern Roman. Without it, the class uses Computer Modern Sans. Thesansoption is also accepted explicitly.cropadds crop marks and centers the trimmed postcard within 0.25 inches of additional printable stock on every side. Without it, the PDF is emitted directly at the final trim size.
Set options in the document class declaration:
\documentclass{mrp} % sans serif, no crop marks
\documentclass[serif]{mrp} % serif, no crop marks
\documentclass[crop]{mrp} % sans serif, with crop marks
\documentclass[serif,crop]{mrp} % serif, with crop marksThe current sample.tex uses the default Computer Modern Sans setting.
series.tex selects the serif option.
Build sample.tex at its standard final trim size:
pdflatex sample.texOptionally build a separate crop-marked PDF:
pdflatex -jobname=sample-crop \
'\PassOptionsToClass{crop}{mrp}\input{sample.tex}'This writes sample-crop.pdf. The postcard remains at its final trim size and
is centered within an additional 0.25 inches of printable stock on every side.
