Use case or problem
Adding kubectl execution substrate support will really want regression tests for ssh and slurm execution (and then for all 3 once kubectl is added). The tooling currently has no tests that exercise ssh and slurm, so functional testing has been spotty and only done as real infrastructure has been available. Put some rigor around that so we can make large changes like adding the kubectl substrate with confidence.
Desired behavior
CI and local developers should be able to run the integration/regression tests. Target environments:
- Linux VM (with root access)
- Docker sbx sandbox (comes with more restrictions than a standard linux VM)
