This check runs after full_model.img_context_token_id and language_model.get_input_embeddings()(input_ids) have already been used. Any wrapper that doesn't have those attributes still fails before it reaches the fallback, and the embedding lookup is wasted work. Move the check to just after the image_flags handling. Also, the fallback passes the original batch, so the dtype-cast pixel_values above is thrown away. It also doesn't pass use_cache=False. The module docstring says wrapper forward() is unsafe in calibration (dist.get_rank, past_key_values). Please add a short note on why that doesn't apply to omni wrappers, and add a unit test for this path using a mock.

The comment says this aligns to the LLM's first block, but _lm_dev is the device of the embedding table, which is where inputs_embeds already lives. Either reword the comment, or use the device of the first decoder layer if that's what is actually needed. With accelerate hooks, the first block's pre-forward hook usually moves its inputs anyway.

Qualify the documented FP8 attention scope for MTP.

The FP8 projection rules run before *mtp.* disables all MTP quantizers. Later MTP rules restore only experts and KV quantizers, so MTP attention projections do not receive FP8 quantization. However, the recipe metadata and modelopt_recipes/ptq.md describe attention projections as FP8 without excluding MTP.

The selective MTP re-enablement indicates that this is an intentional unquantized exception. Qualify the recipe descriptions instead of restoring FP8 projections without a checkpoint contract.

Update the recipe metadata and its description in ptq.md to clarify that FP8
attention quantization applies to backbone attention projections, while MTP
attention projections remain unquantized. Keep the existing selective MTP
quantizer rules unchanged.
