Creating a mod

Creating a mod is super simple:

  • Go into the Mod Tool panel and click Create New Mod at the bottom left. (Don't worry about anything else on screen :3)
  • For the namespace put your username, and for the mod name pick a suitable name for your mod.
  • Hit create!

Technically that's all you need to do, but there's a couple more things you should do to keep your mod organized. Going forward, we'll refer to the res://mods-unpacked/YourName-YourMod/ folder as your mod folder.

  • In your mod folder, create the folders extensions and overwrites
  • Edit the manifest.json file in your mod folder and add a description, and add "Multrapool-Cue" to the dependencies array. If your mod will use a config, add the schema here too. More info here
  • In your mod folder, edit mod_main.gd and replace "AuthorName-ModName" with the name of your mod folder.

As a common courtesy when creating mods, please if at all possible try and refrain from using preload! It makes your code un-hookable and a lot more difficult to modify; load should work just as well 99.9% of the time.
