Part of the plan to cut Studio's bloat. Studio's memory and CPU reading sits at the end of the status bar for everyone, and redraws it every two seconds, though it speaks to someone measuring Studio.
The default is now off. The setting stays under Settings → Appearance. Only changed keys are written to a person's file, so anyone who set it explicitly keeps their choice, and everyone else gets the new default.
