Documents the decoupling rule for OpenAgentCore: replaceable sandbox providers, runtimes, harnesses and model providers communicate through shared contracts. Core orchestration must not acquire implementation-name branches; native differences stay in adapters and compatibility is checked through declared capabilities.
AGENTS.md contains the short rule and links to the canonical ownership and change guidelines in CONTRIBUTING.md. This is a documentation-only requirement; it does not implement executor reuse or change runtime behavior.
The related Session executor lifecycle proposal is recorded under the backend requirements.
Validation: git diff --check and the documentation gate pass. Full make check was attempted with Go 1.25.13; documentation, naming and Core console checks pass, then the Linux-only installer suite fails on macOS (1 failure, 16 errors). The full gate is not green.
