What changes are you trying to make? (e.g. Adding or removing code, refactoring existing code, adding reports)
I have added shell scripts to automate file processing, created directories for data organization, and moved raw files into a structured folder system. I also successfully incorporated coworker updates and resolved a merge conflict in the assignment.sh file.
What did you learn from the changes you have made?
I learned how to use loops and wildcards (*) in shell scripts to manage files efficiently. I also gained experience in resolving Git merge conflicts manually using VS Code and finalizing the merge through the terminal.
Was there another approach you were thinking about making? If so, what approach(es) were you thinking of?
I considered manually moving each file, but using wildcards in the shell script was more efficient for handling large sets of data.
Were there any challenges? If so, what issue(s) did you face? How did you overcome it?
I faced a challenge with a path error in Part 1 - Q6 and a merge conflict during Part 2. I overcame these by carefully editing the script and verifying the paths before pushing the final version.
How were these changes tested?
I tested the script locally in Git Bash and used the GitHub Autograder to confirm that all tasks pass with a perfect score.
