PIXIE coordination release: contributor acceptance and public plugin distribution #42

Task

Complete the existing PIXIE contributor journey and track remaining release work. This is the durable public handoff, not contributor enrollment or maintainer acceptance.

Completed and verified

• Existing companion deployed as Site version 8; source commit 4d517cbed5afb38f568f3a06d8ab0ff635400a6c. Same Site/App identity, no DNS change.
• Six MCP tools available, including prepare_checkpoint and resume_checkpoint.
• Live prepare_checkpoint produces a reviewed, project-scoped GitHub issue draft and does not submit it.
• Project freshness checks work against current GitHub HEAD.
• Fixed an edge-runtime redirect incompatibility; added regression coverage.
• 18 backend tests, TypeScript and production builds passed. Ecosystem build and five hosting tests passed.
• Training PR Connect training to PIXIE contributor checkpoints #41 merged with styled contributor steps and public-release protocol.
• Existing ecosystem hub updated and deployed as Site version 3, source 751a68fe1be8b852cca1cd1fe800db5b84db178f; existing ecosystem.loptrlab.com domain retained.
• Plugin guidance v1.0.2 released/read back; App binding retained. Public skill source merged in ibloud/ibloud.github.io PR Add advocacy and connection layer to creative accessibility path #25.

Follow-through — 18 October 2026

Live resume_checkpoint successfully retrieved this issue body and comments through the existing installed PIXIE host at 17:29 UTC. A later HTTP 403 exposed the cause: the shared Worker egress IP exhausted GitHub's anonymous API quota. Anonymous reads are intermittent. No private token was added. Error diagnostics now retain bounded GitHub error details instead of hiding the reason.

The contextual helper now exposes Join & coordinate and Resume checkpoint with the correct selected-mode labels. An explicit Remember this checkpoint control stores only a validated public issue URL and project ID locally on this device. Forget removes the pointer, leaving GitHub unchanged. No automatic or cross-device memory is claimed.

19 backend tests, TypeScript and production build pass. New runtime source is committed/pushed as 6d886d8f5ec669f8825f4d1a403796e2e1c20566 and deployed through the same Site as version 10. Training PR #43 merged the corresponding remember/forget instructions.

A public-submission preparation copy is committed under release/public-submission/ in the existing source: listing text, exact MCP endpoint, release notes and five positive/three negative cases. It contains no private App binding. It is not submission-ready: publisher identity, country/commerce choices, PIXIE-specific policies, approved icon, recording, canonical App submission path and final portal checks remain incomplete. No review submission or public plugin publication is claimed.

Other remaining work

• Browser/iPad/screen-reader acceptance.
• Public ChatGPT plugin distribution and separate-user installation.
• Verify canonical Sites App public-submission support, publisher identity, four listing/policy URLs, icons, real recording, review cases, countries, commerce and attestations.
• Public runtime-source destination: automatic approval review rejected copying 127 companion source files into pixie-holdings because that destination/duplication was not explicitly approved and code could be exposed. No copy was made. Existing runtime source is committed and pushed to its original Sites source repository. Obtain the intended owning GitHub location before a public source transfer; do not create another replacement project.

Access recovery and current release

Plugin guidance v1.0.3 is released/read back and merged in ibloud/ibloud.github.io PR #26. It directs chat agents to the contributor's available connected GitHub read tool for the exact selected public issue/comments when the anonymous endpoint is rate-limited. Native GitHub issue and comment reads were verified on this checkpoint. No owner credential is shared. The website exposes a validated direct GitHub issue link on failure. Reliable quota-independent server reads remain incomplete until a supported authenticated per-visitor integration is available.

Current runtime source: f672604bb95e8fcb070d34ac9d5a095f9b1863f5, Site version 11. Existing Site/App/domain identities retained. The public review copy remains preparation-only.

Next action

Complete browser/device and assistive-technology acceptance, then finish the missing public-submission materials and canonical App portal setup. Obtain the verified publisher, country targeting and commerce choices; do not invent them. Source location remains unresolved as recorded above. Maintain the working GitHub checkpoint path instead of introducing another coordination database.
