# Wrapping-form A′ — one dictionary sheet: theorem vs census after #673/#677/#679

**Date:** 2026-09-08 · **Machine:** local (Mac, read-only session) · **Ticket:** #686 (parent #650) · **Deliverable:** this file only. No new census, no L=5 joint, no Huawei, no STATUS edit, no ticket closed, #636 not funded.

**Purpose.** The wrapping line now has too many notes (#668 dictionary, #676 A′ rewrite, #675 obstruction, #684 F=(1+M)/2, #683 spirals, #690 Fact 2, #691 rank sum, #692 onsets). A later reader cannot see which statements are theorems on all honest tori and which are axis L=3,4 integers. This sheet is that table. Every row quotes the carrying PR's own verdict; nothing re-enumerated, nothing recomputed — this note is pure provenance curation.

**Verdict vocabulary** (as enforced by #677 and this sheet): **theorem** (proved for the stated scope, no tables needed) · **theorem-with-caveat** (proved modulo a named conjecture) · **census-only** (integer facts at named L) · **OPEN**.

## 0. Standing scope facts (used by every row)

- **Honest torus.** A square-cell torus with `ell_N > sqrt(2)` — equivalently all four corners of every unit cell distinct. Axis L×L honest iff L ≥ 2. (PR #691, §1.)
- **Rank law `r_b + r_w = 2`** is a theorem on every honest torus (PR #271's digital-Alexander duality, scope note PR #691): white NN+NNN image = symplectic orthogonal of black NN image, `C = A^perp`, `dim H_1(T²;Q) = 2`. The site L=3,4 census rows are finite *checks*, not its evidence base. Structural corollary used throughout: rank-2 on both colourings is impossible at any L, so `both-same × both-same` is structurally rank-1 × rank-1 (PR #668 observed it at L=3,4; the reason is the #271/#691 theorem).
- **A′ (PR #676), consumption language.** The wrapping line `a_k = #cross_k − #none_k` is re-expressed in the joint `(rank pair × wrap × 5-name)` language of PR #668. The D-carrying cells are the **exclusive crosses**: `neither × both = (0,2)` (D = −1) and `both × neither = (2,0)` (D = +1); `both-same × both-same` is exactly `(1,1)`, D = 0.
- **Conjecture 3.1 (directional duality)** — `(d_0,d_1)(G_b) = (d_0,d_1)(G_w)` config-wise — is the one open conjecture that several theorem-with-caveat rows hang on. Verified with zero violations at axis L=2,3,4 and diamond L=2 config-wise (PR #690) and at five-cell-support level at axis L=5 / diamond L=4 (PR #657 aggregates).

## 2. What is NOT in the table (scope discipline)

- **Axis L=5 joint config-level census** — not run anywhere (NEED_HUAWEI in #668/#683/#690); only PR #657's aggregate five-cell support tables exist, used as checks in #690.
- **Diamond L=4/L=5 config-level** — not enumerated here; PR #657 aggregates + #692's brute-exact small-L checks are the only diamond facts quoted.
- **#636 (sector-level transfer matrix) — not funded.** On the contrary, PR #676's §5 is *strengthened*: the sector amplitudes are not rank-pure (#668), so any future sector-level TM reading must first split `both-same` by rank, an extra cost the old dictionary hid. PR #675's Lemma A (NN+NNN frontier states are noncrossing, verified w≤6) is *evidence against* the feared cost blow-up, but the ticket's obstruction verdict stands.
- **`M_L` irreducibility over ℚ** — a factorization fact at the five committed sizes, not a wrapping theorem; recorded in #692, not pursued.

## 3. Reader's digest — one line per row

1. Five-cell support: theorem modulo Conjecture 3.1 (#690); census at axis L=2–4, diamond L=2 (#690 fresh) and L=5/diamond L=4 aggregates (#657).
2. Rank sum = 2: theorem, all honest tori (#271 via #691).

## 4. Open items a future sheet must resolve

- **Conjecture 3.1** (directional duality) — the single hinge on which rows 1, 3b, 3c and the all-L corollaries of rows 4–5 turn. Any proof or L≥5 counterexample re-labels four rows at once.
- **Diamond `b×n` general onset and plug classification** (row 13) — falsification kit live at diamond L=5 (`k=14`, value 100).
- **Spiral set-identity mechanism** (row 5/3c) — matching-lattice self-duality of the diagonal-winding event, verified only at L=3,4.
- **`F = (1+M)/2` beyond the committed tables** — the pointwise `D = r−1` argument makes it all-L modulo nothing (it uses only the rank law), but the row-14 note scoped its checks to L=3,4; a one-line all-L restatement is free but unrecorded in the carrying PR.

## Provenance

Read only: issue #686 body + comments; PR bodies #668, #675, #676, #683, #684, #690, #691, #692 (all OPEN, base main, as of 2026-09-08); the memory of prior sessions only for workflow convention, not for content. No census re-run, no script executed, no computation performed. All integers quoted verbatim from the carrying PRs' own texts. Boundaries honored: no STATUS edit, no ticket closed or commented-closed, no merge, #636 not funded, no Huawei, no new census, no L=5 joint.
