[Grok retrieval] Thermal m λ^m vs Jordan/LCFT diagnostics #714

Description

@LightChainr

Parent: #650. Retrieval-only.

Why

#710 notes that ∂_p M_{4,m}(q_4) contains m λ_*^m from two simple Perron branches crossing; the block is semisimple. Toy: diag(λ+ε,λ-ε) yields 2m λ^{m-1} without a Jordan block. #275 treats m λ^m in a thermal jet as possible LCFT/Jordan evidence. Need the published status of that inference.

Deliverable

notes/lit-thermal-jet-jordan-YYYYMMDD.md as a draft PR against main. No STATUS. Do not merge.

Questions

  1. Papers that identify logarithmic CFT / Jordan blocks from a factor L, m, or log in a derivative or scaling function of 2D percolation/Potts (LCFT reviews: Gurarie, Cardy, Vasseur, Ridout, …). Quote the actual diagnostic, not the slogan.
  2. Papers that warn that eigenvalue crossings, avoided crossings, or parameter derivatives produce m λ^{m-1} without a nontrivial Jordan form of the transfer matrix.
  3. Finite-size matching/wrapping papers (Mertens–Ziff, Jacobsen) — do they interpret the 1/m in ρ^m/m displacement as Jordan?
  4. Kato perturbation of simple vs non-simple eigenvalues: textbook theorem that a split pair of simple eigenvalues gives m λ^{m-1} in the difference's derivative.

PRIMARY_TEXT_READ / ABSTRACT_ONLY / [LIT]. Tripwire: at least one PRIMARY LCFT diagnostic paper and one PRIMARY or textbook source for the semisimple crossing. Do not declare #275 solved.
