[Grok retrieval] Cylinder/TM literature vs width-4 all-p matching identity #711

Description

@LightChainr

Parent: #650. Retrieval-only. No census, no transfer engine, no Huawei.

Why

Draft #708/#710 give an all-p finite-length identity for square-site matching on circumference 4:
M_{4,m}(p)=(tr B_15^m - tr B_5^m)/(1+t)^{4m}, generic scalar order 16, cylinder root equal to Jacobsen 2015 Table 2 n=4, finite roots strictly below that root, visible decay ~0.252 after a slower shared mode cancels in M.

This ticket is independent literature retrieval: what of that structure is already published, and under which names.

Deliverable

notes/lit-cylinder-tm-width4-YYYYMMDD.md as a draft PR against main. No STATUS. Do not merge. Do not close.

Questions (PRIMARY sources)

  1. Jacobsen 2015 arXiv:1507.03027: what is actually proved for site percolation on the square cylinder of circumference n=4? Eigenvalue identity vs graph polynomial vs wrapping probabilities. Quote equation numbers.
  2. Scullard–Jacobsen critical polynomials (2012–2014): is P_B identified with a matching-function difference P_2-P_0 at finite m, or only at m→∞ / only at the root?
  3. Published finite-length displacement of a cylinder estimator: formulas of the type p_n,m - q_n ~ c ρ^m / m. Who has this for percolation wrapping/matching, not just Ising free energy?
  4. Transfer-matrix block decompositions of wrapping/homology sectors at n=4. Is a 5+15+16 split, or a matching-function as a difference of two traces, already in print?
  5. Jacobsen 2024 Reply (J. Phys. A 57 258002) if reachable; otherwise ABSTRACT_ONLY.

Mark every source PRIMARY_TEXT_READ / ABSTRACT_ONLY / [LIT]. Tripwire: at least three fetched primary papers plus Jacobsen 2015 Table 2 / Eqs. (13),(50) with quotations. Do not invent that our B5/B15/B16 appear in Jacobsen.

Wait for ASSIGNED_MACHINE.
