fix(api): return 422 from the Azure revoke quote when the refund amount or currency is missing - #591
Conversation
…nt or currency is missing calculateAzureRevoke filled 0 and an empty currency when Azure omitted BillingRefundAmount, so the confirm dialog showed a fabricated refund. extractAzureRefundQuote now returns a nil amount instead of 0, the quote endpoint answers 422, and azureCalculateRefund reuses the same extractor instead of duplicating the parsing.

📝 WalkthroughWalkthroughAzure refund quote extraction now distinguishes a missing amount from a quoted zero. The calculate endpoint returns 422 when the amount or currency is missing, and the revoke flow uses the shared extractor. Tests cover complete, zero-amount, and incomplete quotes. 1-131: 🎯 Functional Correctness | 🔵 Trivial | ⚡ Quick winAssert the amount returned for successful quotes.
The
complete quotecase supplies75.25, but this test checks only the status and currency. A successful response that always returnsrefund_amount: 0would pass both success cases. The related endpoint tests do not assert a successful quote amount, so this regression would go undetected.Suggested fix

Closes #447
GET /api/purchases/{id}/revoke/calculate returned 200 with refund_amount 0 and an empty currency when Azure omitted BillingRefundAmount (or its amount/currency). It now returns 422, never a fabricated zero.
extractAzureRefundQuotereturns(*float64, string); a missing amount is nil, not 0.calculateAzureRevokereturns 422 when the amount is nil or the currency is blank.azureCalculateRefundreuses the extractor (removes the duplicated parsing). The POST path behavior is unchanged:checkConfirmedRefundstill fails closed.Tests (
handler_purchases_revoke_quote_test.go) go through HandleRequest: 5 of 7 cases fail on main (200 instead of 422) and all pass with the fix; complete and zero-amount quotes still return 200.The quote endpoint is not described in openapi.yaml, so there is no spec text to update. The frontend nit at history.ts is not touched.
